Minutes Through the Afternoon
Dance and choreography by Louise Lecavalier
Directed and camera by François Blouin
Explore the daily process of creation in this film of dance artist Louise Lecavalier. In the White Wall studio in Montréal, Canada, she dances in the afternoons.
Improvising or reworking already existing choreography, Lecavalier is in research for movement and for some new paths to appear. Without trying to enhance them, the camera witnesses these moments and tries, in an in-movement style that mirrors Lecavalier, to spontaneously catch the perfect imperfection of a dance, minute by minute(s) through the afternoon.
