In this interview, choreographer Lia Rodrigues talks on her work Encantado, nominated for The Rose International Dance Prize. From Brazil, Lia shares an uplifting and kaleidoscopic vision of the world, drawn from one of Rio de Janeiro’s largest favelas.

She reflects on how creating Encantado during the pandemic influenced the piece, and how she approached choreographing with the dancers having to be apart.
