Supporting artists is at the heart of our work. We offer a range of programmes to support choreographers and dance makers to develop their practice in an array of choreographic styles and at different points in their careers.
Artist Development Programme
Six distinct programmes with broad reach that support the artistic community through non-outcome driven initiatives.
Young Associates
A two-year development programme by Learning & Engagement for four dance artists aged 18-24 and 18-30 for those who identify as d/Deaf and disabled, that meet four times a year for development weekends working towards a public performance each year.
Rose Choreographic School
A two-year programme supporting a cohort of thirteen artists who will engage in their own choreographic research projects through workshops, lectures, mentoring, and other interventions.
Back To The Lab
A two-week intensive course by Breakin’ Convention for experienced choreographer to explore new ways of approaching the creation of new work, culminating in the development of a new piece performed in front of a live audience.
Open Art Surgery
A one-week development course by Breakin’ Convention for hip hop theatre artists and companies to work alongside cutting-edge mentors to create new work to be performed in front of a live audience.
