About TRASH!

A fun, musical family show with high-voltage percussion, comic performances and more hi-vis jackets than bin day. TRASH! is a high-energy dumpster dive.

It takes place in a garbage recycling center, where four creative workers give new life to all kinds of waste using percussion, movement and slapstick. Propane tanks, umbrellas, basket balls, tool boxes, horns, bin bags… These guys turn everything into colourful musical sketches full of wit and humour. This is trash turned into treasure.

Founded in 1991, Yllana has grown and evolved over the years to cover every side of the show business and entertainment world. These productions have been staged in 50 countries about 16.000 times in front of 7 million people and have been awarded over 38 Spanish and International prizes.

Yllana’s shows had been running in the most prestigious stages of the all over the world, such as New York, Montreal, Mexico DF, Rome, Milan, Tokyo, Moscow, Buenos Aires, London, Paris and took part in some of the most popular theatre festivals worldwide like the The New York International Fringe Festival, The Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Festival Printemps des Courages in Toulouse, the Festival Juste pour rire in Montreal (Canada) and the Festival Off d’Avignon (France). In Spain Yllana has been awarded the Max Prize for the Best Children Show (Zoo, 2012) and the Max Prize for the best Musical Show (Avenue Q, 2012 and The Opera Locos, 2019). Yllana has also directed the famous Spanish musical Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar and followed direction of the prestigious international companies such as Mayumana (Israel), Ye-Gam (Korea), Arturo Brachetti (Italy) and Voca People (Israel).

Biographies

Gorka González
Gorka González has created, produced and directed more than 12 musical shows with recycled materials. He has done over 1.500 events seen by 1 million spectators thanks to projects that always link together music and environment. Some of these events took place on very big stages such as Festival de Teatro Clásico de Mérida or Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Bogotá.

Jony Elias
Jony Elias is actor, director and musician. He has been performing with Yllana since 2001 and also collaborates with different national and international companies like Mayumana, Loop, The Taps and Monkey Producciones. Creator of the Berhythm method and founder of Making Comedy – a company that organizes workshops and masterclasses on Physical Comedy. He also creates and directs shows and sketches for theatre, TV, circus, cabaret, musicals and events.
