The Great Get Together on Saturday 1 July and we took part. 

It was a day of live music, dance, and performances on the stage along with different workshops and activities for everyone. From hip hop, roller skating, upcycling fashion, badge making, spoken word and MORE! The event took place from 12 pm to 7 pm.  

We presented a 15 minutes extract of a funny and uplifting dance theatre show, The Head Wrap Diaries. It’s a production blending club styles House, Waacking, and Vogue with African and Contemporary Dance by Vicki Igbokwe-Ozoagu, who is the director and choreographer of the first show at Sadler’s Wells East, Our Mighty Groove.  Following the fun dance theatre show by Uchenna Dance, the Dance Floor gave us a fantastic workshop that we absolutely enjoyed.

In addition, Breakin’ Convention took over the main stage hosted by Jonzi D with a variety of acts and a DJ gave us some summer fun.
