Our Mighty Groove is directed and choreographed by Vicki Igbokwe-Ozoagu and tells of the transformative power of the club dancefloor where anything can happen. It’s about how people can feel empowered to be their authentic selves through dance. The production blends club styles with African and contemporary dance. Our Might Groove will feature a cast of professional dancers and a young cast of 30 dancers aged 16 – 21 who live or study in east London.

As part of our work to select the young cast for Our Mighty Groove, we are inviting young people aged 16 – 21 to take part in a Research & Development week delivered by Vicki Igbokwe-Ozoagu and some of her creative team from Monday 15 – Friday 19 July 2024.

Participants taking part in this week have the opportunity to be invited to join the young cast of Our Mighty Groove and dance alongside a cast of professional dancers on stage as part of the opening production of Sadler’s Wells East, in Stratford.
