Sadler’s Wells presents Moving Around the World, a collection of extraordinary dance stories from Black and diverse dance artists from across the globe, including South Africa, Democratic Republic of Congo, USA and the Netherlands.

Each unique short film, including mini documentaries and dance made for screen, shows the power that dance has to change lives, bring us closer together and create a universal language that speaks to us all.

Waterbrothers by Freddy Dojo explores the connection between dancers Lee-Lou from Amsterdam, and Roy, who grew up in Eindhoven in the south of the Netherlands.

They flow like water, changing shape all the time. Adapting, improvising, and overcoming whatever obstacles they find on their path.

The Missing Fruit

Part of a trilogy of films of the same name by dance artist Roderick George. The Missing Fruit symbolises the historical impact of oppression while centring joy and pleasure through the use of Black social dance, vocals, narration, and scenic design – think ballet, vogueing and breaking, all in one performance.
