Seba / Sebastián Morales Castillo Artist-Led Session [online]
Dulces Chilenos – Latino Floorworks in Breaking
This workshop explores key concepts from breaking practice, focusing on how steps can be shaped by the places in which you belong, in Seba’s case Chile and the UK. The first part of the session will dive into the physical foundational components of footwork in breaking. You’ll start by examining how these movements can be understood and applied across various dance disciplines.
Afterwards you will explore steps/flows based on the Dulces Chilenos (Chilean Sweets), which is a style derived from the foundational breaking Eurostyle’s “Pretzels”. To end, you will use some of this vocabulary to expand your own movement vocabulary.
Seba is leading an in-person version of this session at Sadler’s Wells from 2pm – 5pm on Tuesday 12 November for those that would prefer to attend in person. Please click here for further information and to book.
Part of Sadler’s Wells Artist Development Programme: Artist-Led Sessions. You can find out more about the selection process for this programme online here.

He wears trainers and jeans; his feet are flexed, and his legs make a v shape, whilst he points forward with his left hand. Seba is on a small white and black checkered floor, and a crowd watches behind him.

My name is Sebastian Morales Castillo, and my breaking name is Seba, I have been dedicated to breaking since 2008. I’m originally from Santiago, Chile, and now based in Bristol, UK. I’m the co-founder of Immersive Cypher, a collaborative project where we explore and portray the essence of breaking in digital and non-traditional media, removing the human form while highlighting the dance’s distinctive signatures.
I’m a member of the Bristol Breaking Community, organise events, and teach inclusive classes for all ages. My work is deeply influenced by my practice as a physiotherapist, which gives me a deeper perspective on movement and physicality. I continue to train intensively for performances, competitions, and using Breaking as a form of both creative expression and community engagement.
