Two ballet dancers are holding a classic pose. Behind them a performer wears a lacy back dress with one arm reaching out.

Awaken in a magical new world with Birmingham Royal Ballet’s spellbinding take on this classic tale.

Cursed by a wicked fairy, a beautiful princess pricks her finger and falls into a deep sleep that can only be broken by true love’s kiss.

The Sleeping Beauty has been delighting audiences for well over a hundred years, sprinkling ballet magic on this favourite childhood story and its cast of familiar characters. All wrapped up with sparkling virtuoso dance from Birmingham Royal Ballet’s brilliant dancers, fairy-tale characters, dazzling spectacle, and Tchaikovsky’s glorious music played live by the acclaimed Royal Ballet Sinfonia.

BRB’s beautiful production was created by Sir Peter Wright, the genius behind the Company’s famous The Nutcracker and Swan Lake.

Image description: Two ballet dancers are wearing light gold and white costumes. The male dancer is in a kneeling pose, supporting a female dancer who is leaning towards him with one leg pointing straight up in the air. She is wearing a crown and a detailed lace dress. Behind them is a larger image of a performer wearing a lacy back dress and elaborate black head piece. She has one arm out and one hand on her heart. Background colours are black, yellow, navy and gold with light glittering over the performers.
