Welcome to the opening night of Breakin’ Convention. Come dressed to express as we begin the festival weekend with some fresh and funky fabulosity.

Kicking things off Front of House, and for the first time ever, Kingdom’s League x Breakin’ Convention present CAPITAL vs KINGDOM. Two all-star teams go head-to-head in a battle for the crown. Then the winning crew turns on itself, with one dancer walking away victorious – and £500 richer. One hour. One stage. One Kingdom.

Over to the Main Stage, hosted by BBC Radio 1Xtra presenter Fee Mak

Joining us for one night only is international whacking icon and model Mounia Nassangar, with her latest incredible work STUCK. Nassangar seeks to find an answer to mental and physical blockages, turning constraint into freedom using waacking – a dance of urgency and expression, born of oppression.

The Ruggeds, currently the most successful b-boy crew in the world, return to BC to celebrate their 20th Anniversary with a brand-new show, featuring live music and Olympic-standard breaking.

Alongside our international guests, some of the UK’s most exciting acts will take to the stage: bringing jaw-dropping performances, innovative choreography, and the raw energy of the UK’s vibrant hip hop scene.

To close the night, get ready to move as we bring the signature sounds of legendary selectors Rampage Sound to the stage. Expect an electrifying mix of tracks that will keep the vibe alive and the dancefloor packed all night long.

Fierce Friday: an unmissable night of hip hop excellence.
