FEST EN FEST is an international festival of expanded choreography initiated and curated by H2DANCE, presenting UK & Nordic artists working across dance, performance, writing and visual art. This year’s festival takes place in Deptford, London between 22-27 November with satellite events in Cambridge on 22 November and Colchester on 24 November.

FEST EN FEST 2022 invites artists and audiences to come together for performances, discursive and social gatherings. The program evokes different experiences and expands choreography; what it can be, how it can move, and how it moves other things. By twisting and turning, H2DANCE continues to place the festival in new relations and spatial settings, enabling different forms of entanglements troubling current choreography definitions.

This year’s festival enters the gallery space for the first time and invites SERAFINE1369 (UK), Stina Nyberg (SE), Malik Nashad Sharp (UK/US), Joe Moran (UK), Halla Olafsdottir (IS/SE), Amanda Apetrea (SE), Helka Kaski (FI/UK), Emilyn Claid (UK), Florence Peake (UK), Martin Hargreaves (UK), Kate Marsh (UK), H2DANCE (NO/SE/UK), Ivy Tsui, Delicia Sefiha (GR/UK) and Nathaniel Parchment (UK) and more.

Schedule

Arrivals from 5pm for a social and hangout. At 6pm FEST EN FEST curators Hanna Gillgren and Heidi Rustgaard introduce this year’s programme and talk through their curatorial approach.

Following the event, join us in the Lilian Baylis Studio at 8pm for Charlotte Spencer Projects’ Written in the Body (ticket required, please book here).
