Fest en Fest – LAB is a choreographic laboratory initiated and curated by H2DANCE which digs deep into expanded choreographic and curatorial practices and creates spaces to share, reflect, and imagine alongside one other.

Throughout the week artists, curators, and audiences of dance and performance are invited to come together on the theme of the convivial to think and experiment with questions of networks, relations, ecosystems, and infrastructures. For this lab, we are using the term convivial to inspire gathering and feasting. The theme aims to bring people together to think about the value of social spaces as zones of mutuality and social interaction which we see as a meaningful site of knowledge production, a space where new knowledge might emerge through the practice of being together.

This is the second edition of Fest en Fest – LAB and is in association with Sadler’s Wells and Dance Umbrella. Fest en Fest – LAB 2023 invites artists and curators Alex Roberts (UK/IS/NO), Asgerdur Gunnarsdottir (IS/NO), Martin Hargreaves (UK), Pontus Petterson (SE), Karina Sarkissova (RUSS/SE), Lauren Wright (US/UK), Noémie Solomon (CAN/UK), Kat Hawkins (UK), Joe Moran (UK), Sonia Lindfors (FI).
