You’ll be walking in the air
Why did the snowman sit in the fridge? He wanted to chill.
Make your Christmas a cracker with this family treat that will melt your heart. Join the Boy as his Snowman comes to life and they embark on a magical adventure far across the world. Meet a host of woodland creatures, an assemblage of international Snowmen, and even a dancing Pineapple.
There’s snow place like home, and The Snowman returns for it’s 27th year at the Peacock. This is a magical stage adaptation of the much-loved picture book by Raymond Briggs and the film directed by Dianne Jackson.
Directed by Bill Alexander and featuring music and lyrics by Howard Blake, including the classic song ‘Walking in the Air’, thaw-some design by Ruari Murchison, winter-full lighting by Tim Mitchell, and marvell-ice choreography by Robert North, all of which is accompanied by a live orchestra.
[Image description] A boy in pyjamas, slippers and red plaid dressing gown holds the hand of a tall snowman with a grey hat and scarf around his neck, a carrot for his nose. They step through the air, a snowy planet far beneath them and white, snowladen pine trees on either side.

Relaxed Performances
A Relaxed Performance is a less formal theatre experience for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a show. They support noise and movement within the auditorium during a show, re-entry when needed so house lights are left on throughout, and a separate chill-out space for anyone who might need it at any time during their visit. We also provide a Visual Story so people can familiarise themselves with the theatre and key details about the show in advance.Audio Described Performances
There are a limited number of Stalls seats reserved for partially sighted patrons, and headsets available for those wishing to listen to the audio description, please email tickets@sadlerswells.com if you wish to book these optionsTouch Tour
To accompany the Audio Described performance, visually impaired patrons can go on a Touch Tour before the performance. Your tour guide will take you backstage, or onto the stage itself, to feel costumes and pieces of the set and learn more about the production.Family Ticket offer
